WHY YOU SHOULD STAY AT DARK CORNER VALLEY

EXPERIENCE HEAVEN

The Blue Ridge Mountains and surrounding areas hold many beautiful spots to explore and experience. Take a trip to see the view from Caesar's Head, learn the history of Poinsett Bridge, or make the hike up Table Rock.

You can even take time for scenic drives to a number of little mountain towns in the area such as Brevard, Saluda, Landrum, or Tryon.

ROADS FULL OF SIGHTS

From Poinsett Bridge to Pretty Place, the upstate of South Carolina is home to so many beautiful roadside sights as well as hidden treasures along the many public (and free!) hiking trails!

CITY LIFE

Nearby, you will have close access to the cities of Travelers Rest and Greenville. Their vibrant downtown atmospheres provide exciting ways to spend your day or nights. Many excellent restaurants and shopping opportunities dot both cities; and Greenville's Reedy River Park provides an enchanting walk through the city's most photogenic spots!

If you're looking to switch it up, Asheville is only a 40-minute drive north. There you'll find beautiful architecture, fantastic shopping and restaurants, and the exquisite Biltmore House --- always worth a day trip to visit the house and the surrounding grounds!

SMALL TOWN LIFE

The plethora of charming small towns that surround the Dark Corner offer up a buffet of fun activities!

The little town of Landrum makes for excellent antiquing. And don't forget to check out Campbell's covered bridge!

Tucked-away, Tryon hosts a historic movie theater as well as a wonderful live-performance theater.

Saluda, high in the mountains, uses its location to offer outdoor adventures and the iconic Purple Onion restaurant that also hosts live musicians.

Across the mountain and past Ceasar's Head, you'll find the special town of Brevard --- just about the most "Mayberry-like" town you'll ever come across. And be on the lookout for white squirrels!

BLUE RIDGE MOUNTAINS

Being pressed against the foothills of the beautiful Blue Ridge Mountains means access to many incredible sights.

Venture up to Ceasar's Head for a humbling view over the Upstate. Or Table Rock for an incredible view ---- or Chimney Rock nearby too! There are plenty of spots to find yourself gazing out over a remarkable landscape and getting lost in its grandeur.

But if hunting the perfect waterfall is more your style, there's plenty of those too. Drive over to Jones Gap to see the majestic Rainbow Falls. Hit up Moonshine falls while you're hiking around Ceasar's Head. Or go for the mother of all SC waterfalls and soak up the sight of Raven Cliff Falls. There are so many more falls to mention so search around and visit as many as you can!

Beautiful views, adventurous hiking trails, and gorgeous waterfalls are in abundance anywhere from a 10 minute to hour drive away. And even more further out if you're up for some more driving!
